Older People's Mental Health Inpatient Services, based in Gosport War Memorial Hospital, strive for excellence. Following extensive investment into our Ward environments, our teams are looking to enhance the workforce with Band 5 Nurses.

We are looking for leaders to help steer and support the ongoing development of the service. You can expect to be busy in a rewarding role that is committed to your support and development.
To be a successful member of our team, you will need to be a registered mental health nurse or Registered Nurse with at least 2 years post-registration experience, preferably in older person's specialty.
All staff are asked to work flexibly across a range of day and night shifts across the OPMH assessment wards providing care to older people with functional mental health needs or with dementia.
In return for your flexibility and commitment, we can offer excellent training and personal development support. There may also be opportunities to work in other parts of the service.
Main duties of the job
The Mental Health Nurse in Inpatient Services is a core member of the ward team. They will act as a 'named nurse' for a specific group of inpatients on the ward and take responsibility for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of their nursing care needs.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse, Mental Health Practitioner.
* Recognised Mentorship qualification.
* Able to attend and participate in all statutory & mandatory training events to enhance continued professional development.
* Willingness to complete further studies as necessary to meet service delivery requirements.

Salary: £29,970 to £36,483 a year based on full-time hours.
