Key Responsibilities Clinical To support the junior doctors, Physician Associates and Advanced Nurse Practitioners with clinical and administrative duties. To perform diagnostic/therapeutic procedures (subject to appropriate training and experience). These include, but not exhaustively: o Venepuncture o Cannulation o Arterial blood gases o ECG o Urethral catheterisation To attend consultant/and or specialty registrar ward rounds. To support and contribute to timely discharge planning including completing discharge summaries. Telephoning external organisations (e.g. GP surgeries) and patients families to seek further information Arrange clinic appointments for patients following their discharge from hospital To work within the multi-disciplinary team to ensure effective team working in the provision of acute medical care to patients on a day to day basis.
