Our client, a leading company in the manufacturing sector, is currently seeking a Workshop Fitter to join their Branch in Liverpool.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Carry out maintenance and repairs of industrial pumps as directed by the Manager.
2. Adhere to manufacturers' procedures and comply with health and safety regulations.
3. Communicate effectively with the supervisor and colleagues regarding job requirements, costs, and downtime.
4. Inspect equipment for damages and notify the Branch Manager with detailed reports.
5. Suggest modifications and improvements to machinery or processes.
6. Ensure all administration and paperwork are accurately completed and submitted on time.
Job Requirements:
1. NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
2. Experience working with diesel engines and industrial pumps is advantageous.
3. Strong diagnostic skills to locate and fix faults efficiently.
4. Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and standard hand and power tools.
5. Excellent mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
6. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
7. Willingness to grow with the role and undertake further training.
