Job Summary:
We are seeking a results-driven and technically proficient Business Developer – FM Hard Services to lead business growth initiatives for our facility management operations in Côte d’Ivoire. The ideal candidate will leverage their wealth of experience as an FM Technical Manager in a reputable facilities management company to identify and secure new business opportunities in hard services, including HVAC, MEP, Electrical, Civil, and building maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Business Development:
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities in hard facilities management (FM) services across the commercial, industrial, and public sectors.
* Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, consultants, property developers, and government agencies.
* Lead proposal preparation, including technical and commercial submissions for tenders and bids.
* Develop sales strategies, pipeline plans, and revenue forecasts aligned with regional growth objectives.
* Technical Expertise & Solution Design:
* Leverage deep technical knowledge to design tailored facility management solutions (HVAC, MEP, electrical, etc.).
* Conduct site assessments and prepare technical presentations for prospective clients.
* Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to ensure proposed solutions are operationally viable and cost-effective.
* Market Intelligence & Strategy:
* Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and client feedback to refine business strategies.
* Identify opportunities for service differentiation and innovation in hard FM services.
* Contribute to the development of pricing models and service delivery frameworks.
* Reporting & Coordination:
* Prepare regular reports on business development activities, pipeline status, and performance against targets.
* Coordinate closely with the West Africa Country Manager and regional leadership on strategic initiatives.
* Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and stakeholder meetings.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil) or related technical discipline.
* Minimum 5 years' experience as an FM Technical Manager in a reputable facility management company in Côte d’Ivoire or West Africa.
* Proven track record in business development or client acquisition within the hard FM services sector.
* In-depth knowledge of HVAC, MEP, and building maintenance operations.
* Strong network within the real estate, construction, and infrastructure sectors in Côte d’Ivoire.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Fluent in French and proficient in English (spoken and written).
Preferred Qualifications:
* Professional certifications in FM (e.g., IFMA, PMP, NEBOSH) are an advantage.
* Experience working in a multinational or regional FM company.
* Familiarity with public-private partnerships (PPP) or government tendering processes.
