We are currently recruiting for our client, a successful food manufacturer based on the Newport outskirts.
You will ensure all products produced are safe and legal; manufactured to standards that meet or exceed all agreed internal and external specifications. Key technical interface for the site and lead technical person for any quality or food safety issues.
Key Accountabilities
* Coordinate all technical and quality activities to ensure that products are manufactured against agreed specifications.
* Maintain overall responsibility for the HACCP plan and Allergen risk assessments
* Maintain the position of HACCP Team Leader
* Carry out internal audits and maintain the overall internal audit schedule for the site
* Lead all 3rd party audits
* Work cross functionally with all departments to ensure that the entire business take accountability for technical standards
* Work with suppliers to ensure quality of raw materials
* Lead a team of quality experts
In order to be considered for the role you must be able to demonstrate that you have operated as a Quality or Technical Manager within a food manufacturing experience, you will have worked with the retailers and have excellent BRC and retailer code of practice experience
