As a Project Controls Lead, you will play an essential role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects that make a real difference to our environment and communities—ranging from improving flood defences and upgrading water treatment works to providing nature-based solutions that enhance biodiversity. We have been named a partner on a new AMP8 framework with United Utilities, which will extend our relationship for at least the next five years. The partnership is set to be responsible for over £3bn of major infrastructure in the North West of England. Investment includes upgrades to wastewater treatment works and reducing storm overflows through the delivery of the largest spill reduction programme in the UK, protecting more than 500km of rivers and bathing waters. The role of a Project Controls Lead (Planning Bias): You will oversee and manage the planning, scheduling, risk management, and reporting aspects of multiple projects, managing them from conception to completion. Develop and implement project controls procedures and processes Ensuring projects are programmed in P6 to the necessary level of detail for operational teams to deliver and ensuring contract compliance. Own the Master Integrated Schedule and ensure it is fully resource loaded working with the Operations Manager. Working with the wider team, including Commercial Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Engineers, Planners, and other key stakeholders, to build programmes, lead planning sessions, maintain project spending plans, and provide strategic insight and analysis. Facilitating the growth and development of the team What you’ll need: Ability to analyse and interpret data and produce accurate timely and informative reports in multiple formats targeted to the needs of the audience.
