Position: Technical Manager
Location: Hertford, Herts
Salary: £34,000 - £44,000 per annum (Depending on experience)
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5:30pm/ Some flexibility of working hours
Technical Manager:
Have you got previous experience working as a Technical Manager or Quality Control Manager working within the food sector?
Do you have a Food related degree or similar?
Are you HACCP Qualified?
Would you be confident being the Lead Auditor?
Have you previous relevant technical management experience?
Maybe you have some experience reviewing BRC and audit preparation?
Are you familiar dealing with stock protection, product sampling, COC/COA and complaint systems?

Our client is an independent and highly established, family run business and one of the UK’s market leaders in their specialised field who are currently recruiting for a Technical Manager to be based at their Hertford office.
Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for supporting the broad, overall technical operations and customer technical focus for the company.
This function includes internal quality management system and external customer technical requirements.
It is achieved by supporting the head of technical in a broad remit of tasks planned and reviewed across the year.
It is expected that this jobholder will work closely with and support the Quality Assistant and support their learning and development where opportunity arises.
Key Tasks:
1. Internal quality Management
2. External customer management: Point of contact and action for all customer requests for non-contract customers
3. Creating new stock codes for their products and ensuring accurate / appropriate descriptions
4. Customer online systems: Traqtion, Erudus, Country Range
5. In conjunction with internal quality management, maintain systems for BRC compliance
6. Major Complaints: Own major issues from the outset
7. Debit System: Support the Head of Technical to achieve this objective by gathering data
8. Creating new barcodes for product labels using the GS1 system
9. Sending specs
10. Sending copies of labels
11. Sending BRC cert / report
12. Confirmation of barcodes
13. Providing their sedex number
14. Arranging samples
Requirements:
1. Higher Level Food related qualification
2. HACCP Qualified
3. Lead Auditor
4. Relevant Technical management experience
