Counter Fraud Technical Specialist - Part-Time and Full-Time London/Bromley DLG is evolving. We're looking for one part-time or full-time Counter Fraud Investigator to join our Commercial Counter Fraud Department for 14-month secondment/FTC as a Technical Specialist reporting to our Counter Fraud Team Leader. This role has a hybrid working style where you will work onsite from our Bromley office twice a week and the rest of the time from home. What you'll be doing: You will deliver Counter Fraud benefit by identifying insurance fraud and undertaking investigations to validate or substantiate concerns. You will demonstrate that all cases follow legislation and risk regulations set internally and by external governing bodies. You will manage customer and broker expectations, including enquiries into indemnity, liability and will update them throughout an investigation. You will demonstrate skill in preventing and detecting insurance fraud, with the ability to manage potential outcomes. You will mitigate the spend and control the cost of investigations by identifying threats, and leakage, and recommend appropriate handling strategies to colleagues. You will be the technical referral point for the department, and be aware of the changing legal and regulatory environment and help to identify necessary changes to maximise fraud detection. You will provide coaching, mentoring, and sign off on key decisions and litigation, whilst providing feedback to the Team Leader with recommendations for handler development. You will sometimes deputise for the Leadership Team, and be accountable for the team's quality and performance by completing QA reviews, authorising payments and savings and attending leadership meetings. You will represent DLG at relevant industry forums and steering committees. Ensuring excellent internal stakeholder engagement, preparation, participation and communication of content to the business, initiating any necessary actions whilst ensuring Competition Law is adhered to. You will understand the balance between preventing fraud and treating our customers fairly, removing innocent parties from the process, minimising avoidable complaints.
