The Team:
The Business Support and EMEA Audit Reporting team supports the General Auditor for Global Markets (GM), Global Corporate and Investment Banking (GCIB), Market Risk (MR) and International with the administration of the function and is also central to supporting the EMEA Regional Heads of Audit in meeting all of the local governance and regulatory reporting requirements.
This role will report to the GM, GCIB, MR and International Corporate Audit COO and will work as part of a team to provide ongoing and adhoc support to the GM, GCIB and MR teams as well as contribute to delivering the portfolio of monthly and quarterly reporting.
The Business Support and EMEA Reporting team have broad interaction across the function, including interaction with senior members of the Management team, and this role will provide the opportunity to learn about the Corporate Audit methodology, GM, GCIB, MR and international business activity of Bank of America, how Corporate Audit assesses risk and control effectiveness and how this is reported to Executive Management and Governance committees.
Role Overview:
Bank of America is looking for a proactive, control focused and analytically minded individual to join the Business Support and EMEA Reporting team within the Corporate Audit division.
The main responsibilities of the role are outlined below:
* Support the Global Markets (GM), Global Corporate and Investment Banking (GCIB) and Market Risk (MR) Corporate Audit teams with the administration of the function. This includes assisting in the preparation of the annual Corporate Audit plan, drafting of quarterly reports summarising recent audit results, supporting and guiding the team with practical matters related to audit processes, preparation of regulatory submissions and headcount tracking and forecasting.
* Work with the GM, GCIB, MR and International Audit teams to co-ordinate and manage requests from multiple stakeholders including the General Auditor, Regional Heads of Audit, Head Office Audit teams and Regulators
* Assist the COO in monitoring key metrics measuring performance of the Audit team, including plan completion, timeliness and quality, and investigate and report on areas of deficiency
* Deliver timely and accurate reporting to support legal entity governance and regulatory requirements, including contributing to quarterly Audit Committee reporting.
* Contribute to ongoing initiatives to standardise, streamline and automate processes to drive efficiency
* Help to plan and manage team events
* Ad hoc project work, involvement in regulatory exams and preparation of presentations
Required Experience:
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Good analytical skills, including ability to extract, analyse and interpret data
* Team player who is able to produce high quality, accurate output under tight timescales
* Intermediate Excel and PowerPoint skills
* Proactive and self-motivated
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build partnerships across the global Audit team
* Organised and able to manage workload efficiently
It would be an advantage to have a basic understanding of Internal Audit processes and legal entities or experience in financial or risk reporting, but neither are essential. Knowledge of the investment banking industry is also not a prerequisite.
