More about the role This is an exciting job opportunity for you to light the way as a System Engineer in our Systems & Services team in Guildford (UK) with Signify. System Configuration, Commissioning, and Testing: Configure, commission, and test lighting control systems, ensuring successful project delivery to drive customer satisfaction. Design and Technical Development: Develop detailed designs for programmable building blocks, iterate subsystem designs within budget, and validate solutions to meet specifications. Project and Stakeholder Support: Collaborate with Architecture Managers, Technical Designers, and Project Managers during bid preparation and contract execution, providing technical expertise and enhancing system designs. Training and Documentation: Prepare startup plans, testing documentation, and user manuals; train and support customers and subcontractors during project handovers and commissioning. System Performance and Maintenance: Monitor and control system performance, oversee third-party subcontractors, and ensure system functionality aligns with lifecycle services capabilities and customer expectations. Strong communication skills to adapt terminology to various audiences. Knowledge of Dynalite, KNX, Modbus, IT Security, and certifications like CCNA are highly valued. Educational and Professional Background: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in technology, science, or a related discipline, combined with significant experience in fast-paced technology industries or similar roles. Analytical and Networking Skills: Strong understanding of design patterns, statistical methods, and network/security protocols. Familiarity with tools such as configurators, system debuggers, and configuration software.
