Job Responsibilities
1. Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
2. Provide support to students in classroom activities and aid in their learning and development.
3. Collaborate with teachers to adapt lesson plans and materials to meet the needs of SEN students.
4. Monitor and track the progress of SEN students, providing feedback to teachers and parents as needed.
5. Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
2. Knowledge of SEN support strategies.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
5. Additional qualifications in Special Educational Needs (SEN) are desirable.
6. Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN.
7. Experience in an educational setting is preferred.
8. Understanding of SEN policies and procedures.
9. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
10. Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting SEN students.
11. CACHE Level 2 or 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools.
12. Training in safeguarding and child protection.
Working Conditions
