About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Science to join a secondary school in Sheffield. This full-time position begins at Easter and offers the chance to work with motivated students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to contribute to the development of an outstanding science curriculum. Contract: Permanent, full time
Pay scale: Teachers Main/Upper Pay Range (MPR/UPR)
Essential Requirements
* QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
* A passion for teaching and inspiring students in Science
* An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
Skills
* Excellent subject knowledge of Science
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners
* Classroom management and behaviour management strategies
* Strong IT skills for lesson planning and assessment
* Creativity and innovation in lesson delivery
Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality Science lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
* Plan engaging and challenging lessons that meet the needs of all students.
* Prepare students for exams and assessments.
* Attend parents' evenings and meet with parents to discuss student progress.
* Participate in professional development opportunities to continue your own growth.
* Uphold school policies and procedures at all times.
* Promote and encourage student involvement in extracurricular activities.
* Adapt teaching methods and resources to meet the needs of diverse learners.
* Set high expectations for behaviour and academic achievement.
