We’re seeking a passionate and competent Chef to join our team. As a Chef with Brackenbridge House, you’ll be responsible for overseeing everything that goes on in the kitchen!
As our Chef, you'll be responsible for many tasks, from ensuring high-quality dishes are served to patrons to managing the kitchen’s budget. You’ll need excellent organizational skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Chef Responsibilities
* Oversee kitchen operations, including food prep, cooking, and cleanup
* Manage kitchen staff by delegating tasks
* To prepare menus as agreed with manager. There should be a choice of options, including vegetarian and that religious and cultural dietary needs are catered for.
* To prepare nutritious, appealing and wholesome meals.
* Ensure all kitchen staff adhere to food safety and hygiene guidelines
* Create menus that appeal to residents, including special seasonal menus
* Provide feedback on food preparation and presentation
* Inspect food items to ensure quality
* Monitor inventory and workshop ways to reduce food spoilage
* Inspect and maintain kitchen equipment, scheduling repairs when required
* Collaborate with the management to ensure goals are being met
Chef Requirements
* [2+] years experience as a Chef
* Degree in culinary arts preferred
* Licensure from the FDA as applicable
* Excellent multitasking, communication, and organizational skills
