Main duties of the job
As an integral member of the Subsidiary Finance team, you will be responsible for financially leading and delivering on innovative and exciting projects that the subsidiaries are managing in 2025 and embedding the new processes, practices, and policies to ensure the financial monitoring supports the longer-term success of the projects.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
What you'll do
1. Be the expert in providing specialist financial advice for subsidiary projects.
2. Lead on the delivery and development of financial modelling, long-term strategic planning, and delivery of projects.
3. Provide comprehensive and proactive financial management information to project groups.
4. Work with the project teams to establish and maintain a sound financial base with robust controls and effective cost improvement plans.
5. Support decision-making based on interpreting specialist advice, guidance, complex rules (e.g. VAT) and their impact on different business models.
6. Responsible for and project manage the financial service developments and their implementation.
What we're looking for
A strong communicator who can present and explain information in a manner that your audience can understand.
Experience in financial project management, modelling, and appraisal.
An in-depth specialist knowledge of financial and accounting procedures.
Person specification
Qualifications, knowledge and experience
* Professional qualification (CCAB) in accountancy (CIMA, ACA, CIPFA, ACCA) or exceptional finalist with strong first degree and professional examination results.
* Current/recent experience in a finance environment.
* Knowledge of designing and working with spreadsheets.
* Advanced analytical skills with the ability to clearly communicate the results of such analysis.
* Current/recent knowledge and understanding of the NHS financial environment.
* Ability to make use of systems (e.g., Excel, Word) to prepare and present accurate, clear information and reports.
* Previous experience of working with Oracle Finance systems.
* Record of improving processes and reporting in previous roles.
