Permanent Nursery Practitioner\n\n We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our team working in Islington. The successful candidate will need to be flexible and able to work at both locations, while holding a Childcare and Education qualification equivalent to NVQ Level 3.\n\n Role Details:\n\nHours: Full-time, term-time only (35 weeks per year)\nWorking Hours: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM – applicants must be available for both shift patterns\nSalary: £27,452 per annum (pro-rata for term-time only!)Key Duties and Responsibilities:\n\n Supporting Child Development:\n\nPlan, organise, deliver, and evaluate engaging activities and learning experiences for children within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), in partnership with parents.\nObserve and support children’s overall development, ensuring each child reaches their full potential.\nServe as a key person, updating and extending children's learning journeys through observations, assessments, and activity planning, in collaboration with the nursery's Early Years Professional.\nFoster positive relationships with children and their families while fulfilling all key person responsibilities.\nUse the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum to plan appropriately for each child’s development.\nMaintain accurate and up-to-date records of children’s individual needs, abilities, and progress, using this information as a foundation for future planning.\nStay informed of the latest child development trends and the Early Years Curriculum to ensure high standards of care and learning.Collaboration and Professional Development:\n\nAttend staff meetings, planning sessions, and relevant training events to further personal development and contribute to the team.\nBuild and maintain strong, professional relationships with EYFS advisory teachers, area SENCOs, and other agencies involved in supporting the nursery.About You:\n\nNVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education (or equivalent)\nStrong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum\nExcellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with children, families, and staff\nA genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development\nPermanent Positions\n \neXede Ltd is acting as an Employment Agency and the successful applicant will be employed directly by our client.
