The last couple of years has seen Linaker grow exponentially and 2025 is no exception. Our client base continues to grow month on month and as a result we are now looking for a talented Fire Quality Surveyor to join us on our upward journey.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of Fire & Security projects, from inception to completion. This role involves conducting inspections, preparing reports, and collaborating with project teams to maintain high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and regulations.
* Review and interpret fire and security plans, specifications, and contracts.
* Knowledge of fire and security Standards
* Identify and document any defects or non-conformities and recommend corrective actions.
* Prepare detailed reports on inspection findings and quality assessments.
* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to address quality issues.
* Monitor and track the progress of quality assurance activities.
* Ensure that all materials and workmanship meet the required standards.
* Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and policies.
* Provide training and guidance to site personnel on quality standards and best practices.
* Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in quality management.
* Experience of managing and providing expert guidance to a team of fire and security engineers.
* In depth knowledge of the industry who will be the point of contact for our industry accreditations.
* Proven track record of producing high quality quotations with minimal assistance.
Qualifications:
* Professional certification (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is preferred.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality surveying or a related role within fire and security.
* Strong knowledge of fire and security methods, materials, and regulations.
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in using quality management software and tools.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various project sites.
