What skills and experience we're looking for
Essential Criteria:
• Proven experience of being a Designated Safeguarding Lead.
• Proven experience of leading on CIN, CP and STRAT meetings.
• Proven experience of liaising with outside agencies.
• Experience of leading TAF meetings.
• Experience of working with KS2 children in a school or similar setting.
• A strong understanding of nurture and pastoral care in education.
• Ability to build trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• A patient, empathetic, and supportive approach.
• Experience of working with nurture groups, Emotional Literacy Support Assistant training, and Mental Health First Aid Training.
• Experience of collaborating with external agencies and professionals to support children’s well-being.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and take the initiative when required.
• Commitment to promoting inclusivity, well-being, and holistic child development.
• Experience of supporting the whole family.
• Ability to uphold our school values of being a Caring, Celebratory, Courageous, Christ-inspired Community rooted in Love.
Desirable Criteria:
• Experience of working with KS1 children in a school or similar setting.
• Experience of working within a Church of England School.
• Knowledge of de-escalation and self-regulation techniques
• Knowledge of behaviour management strategies.
