Responsibilities:
1. Management of UK Engineering Department including budgetary requirements.
2. Development and implementation of Engineering Strategy.
3. Development of Business Processes.
4. Management and promotion of effective interface with other departments.
5. Ensure Legislation and Statutory requirements for BUK products are met.
6. Authorise all designs UK products.
7. Ensure that the Engineering department is adequately resourced to fulfil obligations.
8. Promote development of staff.
9. Review and report upon Design Safety Issues.
Skills Required:
1. A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or similar discipline, or equivalent experience.
2. Good communication and organisational skills.
3. Able to work un-supervised, under pressure and in challenging environments.
4. Extensive Worldwide & UK travel may be necessary.
5. Knowledge of IT Software, MS Office, AutoCAD, Inventor, SAP, Sage & Adobe.
6. A full UK Driving Licence.
