Job Title: Medical Rehabilitation Occupational Therapist Band: Band 6 Location : London, Greater London Working Hours 37.5 hours per week Rate : Competitive, to be discussed upon application Pulse Healthcare is currently seeking a Band 6 Medical Rehabilitation Occupational Therapist with specialised expertise in Medical Rehabilitation to join our team in London, Greater London. The post is available to start as soon as possible, offering full-time hours for a short term contract. What will your responsibilities be? As a Medical Rehabilitation Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in assessing and supporting patients on their rehabilitation journey, ensuring they regain independence and improve their quality of life. You will conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate each patient’s physical, cognitive, and emotional needs, developing tailored treatment plans aimed at enhancing their functional abilities. Through a variety of therapeutic interventions, you will assist patients in improving daily living skills, mobility, and overall wellbeing. Collaboration is at the heart of this role, and you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including doctors, physiotherapists, and speech therapists, to deliver holistic care. You will also educate patients and their families on coping strategies, adaptive equipment, and necessary home modifications. Accurate documentation of patient progress and interventions is essential, and you will ensure all records are maintained in line with legal and ethical standards. Furthermore, you will recommend assistive technology and provide training on its use to promote greater independence. Safety is a priority, and you will actively monitor and manage risks throughout the rehabilitation process. Keeping up-to-date with the latest advancements in your field, you will continuously develop your skills and contribute to a supportive, patient-centred environment. Qualifications and Experiences: Be HCPC registered as an Occupational therapist Hold a relevant qualification in Occupational therapy Previous experience in a rehabilitation setting is desirable The ability to build good rapport with patients Excellent interpersonal skills How to apply?
