We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to join our dynamic team based in Darwen. The IT Manager will be responsible for the strategic planning, management, and optimisation of our IT systems and infrastructure. This role is critical in ensuring the security, efficiency, and reliability of our technology environment. The successful candidate will drive improvements in IT processes, and provide expert guidance on IT matters to senior management. You will also be responsible for providing technical support to end-users, ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems, and resolving IT-related issues promptly. The ideal candidate should possess expertise in Azure Active Directory, Windows Servers, Veeam, ITSM tools, Microsoft 365 administration, networking IDS/IPS systems. The role will also involve project-related tasks, including acquisitions, system migrations, office moves, and new server features. Experience supporting and administering ERP systems, along with a background in manufacturing/fulfilment, is highly desirable. Act as the primary advisor on all IT-related matters, reporting directly to the Group Technology Director. Formulate and review IT policies and procedures to align with business objectives. Manage, migrate, and maintain Microsoft 365, Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Sophos, Windows 11, Mac OS, Backupify, and on-premise servers (Windows 2016, Veeam, file server NAS) Sonicwalls, Cisco Meraki, Unifi, Cisco Umbrella). Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of network architecture and client/server technology Familiarity with acquisitions and system migrations, both on-premise and in the cloud. Familiarity with ISO 27001 information security processes is desirable. Implement and maintain robust security practices and policies. Support and administer ERP systems, providing assistance to end-users and resolving related issues. Be a confident leader with the ability to manage, coach, train, and develop the IT team. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment. Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, third-party vendors and contract support, ensuring service levels and expectations are met. Improve the IT Helpdesk by introducing ITIL methodologies, SLAs, a new ITSM system, and comprehensive documentation. Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a professional telephone manner while communicating with end-users. Maintain a "hands-on" approach and a willingness to learn new technologies and skills. Exhibit a flexible and proactive attitude in handling IT support requests and addressing technical challenges. Ensure all technical support activities adhere to established IT policies and procedures. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong customer service skills.
