Salary: From September 2025 - £7.55 per hour - £279.35 per week - National Apprenticeship Wage - during first 12 months. (If 19 years old or over, after 12 months your salary will increase to minimum wage for your age)

Cumberland Council has been awarded £5 million by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) to become a ‘Health Determinants Research Collaboration’ (HDRC). The HDRC will shape Cumberland Council into a modern empowering council underpinned by research and evidence-based practice. Becoming a centre of excellence for sustainable Local-Authority and community-led health determinants research and experts in health inequalities in coastal, rural and dispersed communities.
What You’ll Do
We’re seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and organised individual to support the delivery of Health Determinants Research Collaboration (HDRC). Data is of fundamental importance to the success of the HDRC. You will be an essential member of the team, aiding the HDRC team to collate and present data for day-to-day activities.
You will assist with collecting, organising and processing data under the guidance of senior colleagues. You will blend data from multiple sources as required, acting in line with legal and ethical requirements and principles. As part of the HDRC team, you will be interacting with a wide range of stakeholders, including colleagues, managers, senior leaders, and community organisations.
If you’re interested in data management and statistics, learning new systems and processes, interpreting data, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills, we’d like to hear from you.

Eligibility Checks: Training providers will carry out eligibility checks.
