Purpose of the role:
We are looking for a Researcher and Database Analyst to help continue to drive and deliver the data standards our clients have come to expect.
As a member of the OOONO UK Research Team, you will assist in research via various media for information on new locations or changes to the OOONO UK safety camera databases. You will assist in the build and maintenance of the OOONO UK databases via our in-house database interface tool (full training will be given). You will also spend up to 30% of your time in the field doing active surveys of safety cameras around the globe, giving you an opportunity to travel and see other parts of the world.
Main responsibilities:
1. Daily processing of the research schedule.
2. Filtering of result data from various media sources.
3. Analysis and accurate archiving of research data and results.
4. Participate in process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency of daily tasks.
5. Feedback on current processes and actively engage in development discussions.
6. Interrogation and analysis of data received from customers.
7. Routine maintenance and quality checking of historic data.
8. Processing of data received from field surveyors.
9. Partake in active field research around the globe (this will not normally be more than 3 weeks at any one time and no more than 30% of your time in total measured across a year).
10. Liaise with international agencies as required for quality information.
11. Inter-agency relationship building to make verifying research results easier and more efficient in the future.
Key skills/experience:
1. Ideally educated to degree level or relevant experience.
2. Able to prioritise tasks and manage workflow efficiently.
3. Excellent interpersonal skills.
4. Able to communicate clearly and effectively both internally and externally in written and verbal form.
5. Knowledge of extra languages will be an advantage.
6. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
7. Excellent attention to detail.
8. Good geography knowledge.
9. Interest or experience in Internet Media, Photography, and Research will be an additional advantage.
10. Full driving licence and passport required.
11. Must have the right to work in the UK.
