Job summary: To oversee and optimise the smooth day to day running of the Warehouse operation including people planning, maintaining high levels of productivity and accuracy, implementing safety and compliance standards and demonstrating innovative approach to improving operational processes. Accountable for the ongoing performance of the Warehouse operations including the achievement of the agreed service levels and budget. Set priorities for direct reports and their teams, ensuring a balance between consistent day-to-day delivery against KPI’s, longer term planning and also support of key operational projects and initiatives. Role model company competencies and act as a coach to strengthen the pipeline with talented and committed managers of the future. Ensure resources, including agency, within all areas of accountability are sufficient to meet operational requirements. Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities through the use of Kaizen, Lean and Six Sigma principles. Exceptional Health and Safety performance within areas of control, Leading from the front and driving positive health and safety culture in the DC and across the network. Ensure MB UK policies and principles are being effectively cascaded to, and adhered to across all areas of accountability. Ensure Site is audit ready at all times for health and safety and food quality standards. Positive contribution to all DC and network wide initiatives. Profile: Confident and calm under pressure, with good activity planning and organisational skills. Strong leadership ability – able to harness the efforts of a large team to deliver challenging targets and develop leaders of the future. Strong H&S and Wellbeing awareness with a passion to improve performance in this area. Able to demonstrate high levels of customer service.
