The successful candidate will have a proven track record in B2B sales within construction, facilities management, or related industries, and be motivated by targets and long-term client relationships. Key Responsibilities: New Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the construction, repairs, and maintenance sectors. Develop and execute strategies to target potential clients, including contractors, property developers, facilities managers, and local authorities. Manage the entire sales lifecycle, from prospecting and lead generation through to closing contracts. Create tailored proposals and bids in response to client requirements, ensuring they align with company capabilities and objectives. Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients. Act as the main point of contact for key clients and ensure the delivery of high-quality services, managing expectations, and resolving issues quickly. Engage with decision-makers and senior executives to build rapport and influence long-term partnerships. Market Analysis & Strategy: Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs. Provide insights to the senior management team on market conditions, opportunities, and potential threats. Stay up-to-date on industry developments and emerging technologies that could impact business opportunities. Sales & Target Achievement: Set, track, and exceed sales targets and KPIs, ensuring consistent growth and profitability. Prepare detailed sales forecasts and reports for management, ensuring all business development activities are accurately tracked. Collaborate with marketing and project teams to ensure proposals are compelling and tailored to client requirements. Collaborative Working: Work closely with project management and operations teams to ensure smooth transitions from sales to service delivery. Provide the operations team with detailed information on client expectations and project requirements to ensure quality service execution. Participate in regular meetings with leadership to provide updates on pipeline, strategy, and client feedback. Networking & Industry Events: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and exhibitions to build brand awareness and network with potential clients. Engage with key stakeholders within the sector to identify new business prospects and partnerships. Key Requirements: Experience: Proven experience in Business Development or Sales within the construction, repairs, and maintenance sectors (minimum of 3–5 years). A strong network within the construction, facilities management, or property management industries. Experience in identifying and securing new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and developing sales strategies. Knowledge of construction project management processes, health & safety standards, and procurement practices. Skills: Strong business acumen with the ability to develop commercial strategies. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to create tailored sales pitches, proposals, and bids. Proficient in CRM systems and sales reporting tools. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and opportunities simultaneously.
