Job Advert Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join us as a Coroners Officer in Carmarthenshire.
What you will be doing?
To co-ordinate the investigation of sudden, violent, suspicious or unnatural deaths and to assist HM Coroners in legal and public protection duties removing other staff from unnecessary involvement.
Attend scenes of death, examine and ascertain identity of body and arranging removal whilst ensuring that personal property is safeguarded and premises secured.
Assess and investigate reports of sudden, violent, suspicious or unnatural deaths for which a certificate has not been issued.
Liaison with bereaved, investigating officers, Coroners and pathologists.
Prepare inquest files and give evidence of facts know at inquest.
