Role Overview:
As the VP of Sales, reporting to the Managing Director, you’ll lead the charge in growing CloudM’s presence across EMEA and North America. This senior leadership position will spearhead the execution of CloudM's sales strategy, cultivating a high-performing, innovative sales team culture focused on sustainable growth. You are a results-driven, visionary leader with the strategic acumen and experience needed to build teams, drive sales performance, and have an impactful influence on the company’s trajectory.

Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute a sales and channel strategy aligned with CloudM’s goals, focusing on revenue targets, business expansion, and maximising sales across Google and Microsoft channels.
Team Development: Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing sales team, with a focus on scaling the SaaS division to achieve measurable results. Collaborate closely with sales managers, account managers, business development, and customer success teams. Foster a supportive environment that prioritises clear direction, mentorship, and effective performance management, ensuring team members have the tools and guidance to excel.
Sales Cadence & Forecasting: Establish a structured sales cadence for accurate forecasting, tracking progress, and achieving sales quotas, budgets, and strategic goals.
Customer & Partner Relationships: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners, including stakeholders across the Google ecosystem, to drive customer engagement and growth.
Sales Process Optimization: Continuously enhance sales methodologies, processes, and tools to improve team productivity and effectiveness.
Market Analysis: Conduct ongoing market research and competitive analysis to identify new opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer support teams to ensure alignment on customer engagement and shared strategic goals.
Board Reporting: Analytically minded and able to provide detailed, accurate monthly reports on sales performance, market insights, and progress against strategic objectives. Experienced in presenting to C-level and board members.
Overall success in the role is defined as:
Revenue Growth: Consistently exceed revenue targets across CloudM’s suite of solutions by improving conversion rates and driving SaaS revenue in line with company objectives.
Team Development: Build and nurture a high-performing sales team that meets or exceeds targets through strong coaching, mentorship, and performance management.
Strategic Relationships: Deepen relationships within the Google and Microsoft ecosystems to expand CloudM’s market footprint across EMEA and North America.
Customer Engagement: Support and nurture existing customer relationships, driving retention and growth within these accounts.
Skills and Experience:
Key Skills:
Minimum of 8-10 years management experience and proven leadership in building, coaching and scaling SaaS sales teams with a track record of achieving or surpassing sales targets.
Extensive experience in sales with a focus on high-growth SaaS environments.
Strong negotiation, deal-closing, and relationship-building abilities.
Strategic and analytical thinker with a customer-centric mindset, ability to make data-driven decisions.
Highly organised, with exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to customer excellence.
Experience of managing and leading Customer Success teams.
Effective communicator, adaptable to a rapidly changing environment, and flexible in accommodating different time zones.
Strong ethical standards, capable of managing high workloads and complex customer situations with empathy and pragmatism.
In-depth understanding of the MEDDICC methodology, with experience implementing and optimising its processes.

Desirable Skills:

Remote-based role (UK only). However, within commutable distance to Manchester would be desirable for the odd team-building activity / meeting.
