We are now looking to recruit an Apprentice SHEQ Co-ordinator on a full-time basis. This role will be based in one of our local offices within the advertised region. The candidate will also be connected to a local college or university that offers apprenticeship support. You do not need experience, just a passion and enthusiasm for Health & Safety and a desire to learn.
The apprenticeship:
* You will study the Safety, Health, and Environment technician apprenticeship standard spending 80% of your time working on the job and 20% of your time on dedicated learning towards the apprenticeship qualification.
* Modules will cover all skills, knowledge, and behaviours associated with SHE.
* On completion of the modules, the apprentice will complete an end-point assessment to be awarded the national apprenticeship qualification.
Responsibilities:
* Assisting the SHEQ team in providing health, safety, and environmental advice and guidance with applicable legislation and industry best practice.
* Preparation and review of risk assessments and procedures.
* Carrying out health and safety training and toolbox talks.
* Delivery of internal premises and site inspections and supporting with the closing out of findings.
* Vendor review, audit, and inspections.
* Preparation of reports in relation to performance against objectives, targets, and SHEQ performance, as well as supporting on associated communications.
* Assist with the implementation of Group SHEQ initiatives and campaigns.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
* Minimum of 5 GCSE Grades A* to C including Maths and English.
* Full UK driving licence required.
* Good communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to analyse and interpret.
* Team player.
Salary and benefits:
* £18,000 - £20,000 per annum depending on experience plus sponsorship to study the level three apprenticeship qualification via the Government Apprenticeship Scheme.
