Quality Engineer required to work in a manufacturing company in Loudwater (High Wycombe).
Duties:
1. Support the embedding a culture of continual evaluation and improvement within the manufacturing facility by reporting on and achieving business objectives.
2. Identify and report areas of non-conformance and non-compliance and areas requiring improvement within the business.
3. Promote and drive forward preventive and corrective action measures within the business.
4. Act as the primary point of contact for assigned programmes.
5. Ensure that the Quality Audit programme is adhered to and that any audit reports are produced in a timely manner, to the highest standard as well as progressing supporting metrics/reports with minimum oversight.
6. Undertake internal and supplier system audits and act as a guide in third-party certification process and customer product audits, including analysis of findings, suggestions for improvement and progression of any non-conformances identified.
7. Progress non-conformances, identify root cause, corrective actions and preventive actions using recognised best practice tools to timely closure.
8. Provide quality assurance management through the implementation, improvement and maintenance of Quality policies, processes, procedures and systems to deliver Quality management system assurance.
On assigned contracts:
1. Produce and maintain Quality Lead Project Management Pack (i.e. contract start-up and delivery documentation and records).
2. Ensure customer Quality requirements are fully understood and are met within given contracts.
3. Undertake product and process reviews to aid the prediction and prevention of quality defects.
4. Generate and maintain contract quality plans.
5. Identify product configuration control management to ensure traceability.
Additional Responsibilities:
1. Maintain contract improvement Lessons Learnt records.
2. Perform supplier acceptance, witnessing testing support and product release audits.
3. Ensure Supplier/Subcontractor quality management, including approval, flow-down of requirements, monitoring and corrective action management.
Minimum Requirements:
Candidates must have previous experience as a Quality Engineer working in an Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical or Electro-mechanical manufacturing company.
Good knowledge of ISO 9001, and ideally Lead Auditor experience.
Knowledge of APQP/PPAP processes is desirable.
The successful candidate will be put through a Security Vetting process and must be able to obtain SC Clearance.
