Kellanova is investing £75 million in its cereal plant in Wrexham, aiming to make it the largest cereal manufacturing site in Europe. As part of this exciting expansion, we are looking for a Craft Lead. You'll be at the heart of our operations, managing and prioritising the site day craft population to ensure the seamless execution of our maintenance plan in line with plant priorities. This onsite role is primarily based at our Wrexham plant, with occasional travel to other UK sites for cross-functional collaboration. The role will be working days Monday – Friday.
As a Craft Lead, you will oversee a talented team of 20 direct reports, supervise apprentice groups, and report to the Maintenance Manager. You will work closely with reliability and CI teams to ensure the seamless execution of our maintenance plan in line with plant priorities. A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing
* Team Assembly: Assemble a day craft team to implement a weekly maintenance plan.
* Task Prioritisation: Prioritize tasks and allocate resources to optimize the team's workload, covering shutdowns, pitstops, routine workshop tasks, small projects, AM support, plant trials, and start-ups.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate cross-functionally to manage incoming work and enhance efficiency.
* Skill Development: Develop skills within the day craft group, providing training as needed to ensure effective plant-wide maintenance.
* Daily Resource Management: Oversee daily management of day craft resources, including time, attendance, performance, and individual support needs.
* Apprentice Program Management: Manage the apprentice program, including site support, college liaison, rotation management, and recruitment.
We’re Looking for Someone With
* Experience in manufacturing plant environment
* Strong problem-solving skills
* Lean manufacturing knowledge
* Ability to formulate and execute strategies effectively
* Ability to manage and engage stakeholders at all levels
* Strong technical & analytical skills, including the use of Excel and SAP
* Excellent communication skills with an ability to prioritise and work on own initiative.
