Key Responsibilities As Deputy Head Teacher, you will: Support the Headteacher in driving academic standards, behaviour, and staff performance. Contribute to the strategic vision and operational leadership of the school. Lead and manage behaviour improvement plans across the school. Monitor and evaluate teaching quality and learning outcomes. Champion safeguarding and ensure compliance with all statutory guidelines. Mentor and support teaching staff, conducting appraisals and identifying CPD opportunities. Manage parent/carer engagement and maintain strong community relationships. Oversee curriculum planning and intervention strategies for pupils with diverse needs. Represent the school at meetings, panels, and external events where appropriate. Requirements We are looking for a passionate and driven education professional with: QTS and leadership/management experience in a UK school setting. Proven experience working with KS4 pupils, particularly within an alternative provision or SEND context. Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and pupil wellbeing strategies. Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills. High levels of literacy and ICT proficiency. Ability to inspire, motivate, and support both pupils and staff.
