Overview
Volunteers bring a range of skills and experiences that complement the work we do. It also provides an opportunity for individuals to use existing skills to support our services, develop new skills and gain experience in the health and social care sector, specifically in the substance misuse treatment field. We also offer volunteers access to some high-quality training, just like our staff, in addition to ongoing support through supervision.
The West Kent Drug and Alcohol Wellbeing Service has a rewarding opportunity to join our team as a Criminal Justice Volunteer to support our Criminal Justice Team in Maidstone.
Responsibilities
At Change Grow Live, you will be working with people to help them change the direction of their lives, grow as individuals, and live life to its full potential. As a Criminal Justice Recovery Support Volunteer, you will work in close collaboration with Criminal Justice Recovery Coordinators and the probation service. You will assist recovery coordinators in their caseload management, supporting the service user through all aspects of their treatment journey and community order or license conditions. This can include completing assessments, risk management plans, facilitating groups, and undertaking one-on-one work.
This is an exciting opportunity that will allow you to gain experience in both the substance misuse and criminal justice fields. You will be part of a supportive team and will receive comprehensive training and guidance to develop within the role. This is a rewarding role where you will make a real difference in the lives of others.
