Job Title: 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Yorkshire and the Humber, West Yorkshire, Leeds Job Type: Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours Primary Industry: Education and Training Salary: £90 - £100 Per day Job Duties: Provide 1:1 support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a classroom setting Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs Support the classroom teacher in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment Help students with their learning and personal care needs as required Monitor and record student progress, and report back to the teacher Collaborate with other professionals, such as educational psychologists and speech therapists, to support student development Required Qualifications: Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths Relevant experience working with children with SEN Understanding of the UK education system and SEN practises Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills: Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting Knowledge of different SEN conditions and strategies to support student learning Experience in implementing educational plans and strategies Ability to adapt to the individual needs of students Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications: Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification Additional training in supporting students with specific SEN requirements First Aid certification Working Conditions: Work primarily takes place within a classroom environment May involve providing personal care assistance to students Potential for occasional off-site visits or activities Full-time hours, following the school term calendar Please attach your up-to-date CV when you apply.
