Our client, A Large public sector organisation, is looking for an Executive Officer to join their team.
Duration: Around 6 to 12 months with the possibility of extension
Rate of pay: £15.97 per hour
Hours: Monday-Friday ( 9am-5pm )

Key Responsibilities
? Line Management duties adhering to Board Policies and Procedures;
? Ensuring that all work is undertaken and personal information is processed in line
with statutory legislation in respect of Human Rights, Equality, Data Protection and
Freedom of Information;
? Administer the effective day-today delivery of the Board’s volunteer Schemes - the
Independent Custody Visiting Scheme (ICV) and Independent Community Observer
Scheme (ICO), engaging with external stakeholders as necessary;
? Attend Independent Custody Visiting (ICV) bi-monthly meetings and yearly AGM
meetings;
? Recording and providing statistics for the Independent Custody Visiting Scheme and
Independent Community Observer Scheme
? Process invoices, payments, volunteer expenses and travel claims in line with
financial procedures;
? Provision of the secretariat function for the Partnership Committee;
? Provide administrative support for the successful delivery of the Engagement
Strategy;
? Provide assistance with the organisation of engagement events, attend events as
required and engage with the public and external organisations to promote the work
of the Board;
? Manage the organisation of meetings, attend meetings to represent the Board and
provide updates as applicable;
? Support the delivery of volunteer recruitment campaigns for the ICV and ICO
Schemes;
? Provide support and advice to Board Members and Board Officials on relevant
issues, and respond to queries as appropriate;
? Provide returns to Finance including monthly accruals
The above list is not exhaustive however it gives an indication of the main duties of the
post. The emphasis on particular duties may vary over time according to business needs
and the post holder will be required to carry out other duties as allocated by management.
Desirable Criteria
? Ability to demonstrate experience of operating a record management system;
? Experience of working in a role requiring regular consideration and application of the
provisions of legislation;
? Demonstrate a flexible, adaptable approach and have experience contributing to the
function of a small close knit team to meet the requirements of an organisation;
? Demonstrate experience of working in an oversight body; and
? Prove awareness of the relationship between the Board, the PSNI, the Department
of Justice, Policing Community Safety Partnerships (PCSPs) and other Government
bodies and have an understanding of the current emerging issues affecting the
above groups.
Essential Criteria:
? Good communication skills - both oral and written;
? Proven experience of building effective partnerships and forging, maintaining and
managing constructive working relationships with a diverse range of internal and
external stakeholders to deliver desired outcomes.
? Demonstrate experience in a public, private or voluntary role which includes
responsibility for managing staff, monitoring project delivery and effectiveness, and
resources;
? Good IT skills and experience of using Microsoft word, excel spread sheets and
outlook;
? Good time management and organisational skills;
? An ability to work under pressure, and planning/prioritising workloads on a daily
basis;
