Buyer – Procurement Team Our client is looking for an experienced and detail oriented Buyer to join their procurement team. This role is ideal for a proactive professional with strong negotiation skills and a keen understanding of market trends. Role Overview: The Buyer will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, securing the best value for money, and ensuring efficient procurement processes. This includes negotiating terms, tracking orders, maintaining inventory, and supporting project teams to meet business needs. Key Responsibilities: Engaging and maintaining relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors. Negotiating competitive terms to optimise cost savings. Assisting in managing rebate schemes and spend targets. Raising purchase and plant orders, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. Liaising with internal teams to determine procurement needs. Supporting new project setups by aligning pricing with specifications. Ensuring purchases align with project scopes and financial objectives. Monitoring business trends and product availability to drive cost-effective procurement. Managing procurement records, including materials schedules and delivery reports. Handling invoice queries and preparing procurement reports as required. Overseeing stock levels and optimizing procurement strategies. Conducting site visits to reconcile materials schedules where necessary. Candidate Profile: Experience in procurement, buying, or supply chain management. Strong negotiation and relationship management skills. Ability to assess market trends and business needs effectively. Highly organized with excellent multitasking abilities.
