Job Description
Join the dedicated team at the London Temple as a Patron Housing Clerk. This role is crucial in providing excellent customer service and administrative support within the patron housing department. You will be performing established routines, handling inquiries, managing data, and contributing to a compassionate and devoted environment aligned with the Church's mission.
Responsibilities
* Handle incoming calls, emails, and greet visitors professionally, addressing basic inquiries and situations.
* Assist patrons by answering routine questions and resolving straightforward issues, escalating more complex matters as needed.
* Provide constructive feedback and maintain sensitive, positive relations with visitors.
* Compile, arrange, and manage data accurately.
* Perform standard computations and process documents according to established procedures.
* Maintain organised records, files, and perform data entry tasks.
* Direct inquiries to the appropriate personnel or department.
Qualifications
* High School graduate or equivalent; some college coursework is preferred.
* A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in customer service, administration, hospitality, or a related field. (An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered).
* Proficiency in standard office software and general computer skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with others.
* Proven ability to follow procedural guidelines accurately and adapt to periodic changes.
* Capability to resolve routine questions and problems independently.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Physical Requirements: To successfully perform the essential functions of this job, the following physical abilities are required:
* Ability to sit for extended periods while performing desk-based work.
* Capability to move about the office environment and patron housing areas, including walking and potentially carrying small items for delivery.
* Ability to perform tasks associated with laundry and room turnover, which includes activities such as making beds and arranging rooms.
