Manager :Transport and Events Manager Job Title: Security and Transport Administrator Job details: Working as part of the Security and Transport teams within the Estates & Facilities Department, you will provide a professional and efficient administrative service to both teams and to the University community. The focus of the role is support for parking permit procedures, providing advice to staff, students and visitors on travel options, and financial processing. You will support the Transport and Events Manager in the communication and promotion of the UEA Transport Plan. The role also includes general administrative tasks such as diary management and records management. The post is customer-facing and therefore you will be required to work on campus. Key Responsibilities • Provide excellent customer service and a people-focused first point of contact with the University. • Administer all aspects of the car parking scheme • Issue parking permits to staff and visitors and providing information and advice on the permit system, and resolving issues and queries. • Administer the financial procedures linked to the parking policy using our corporate finance system to process charges. • Provide administrative support to the enforcement and infringement of Vehicle Regulations, including issuing warning letters, suspension of parking, and record keeping. • Collate information and prepare documentation for the Independent Parking Appeals Panel. • Monitor vehicle access controls and report faults on systems. • Administer other aspects of Travel Plan, including car sharing, locked bicycle compounds, electric vehicle charging. • Respond to enquiries to both teams and staff and external callers, by telephone, email, or Teams, to provide information or advice. • Provide general administrative support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of both teams, following or developing procedures as appropriate. • Administer the Found or Lost Property process by recording items and ensuring the secure storage and disposal of items. • Assist other members of the teams with the administration and organisation of activities and events on the grounds (for example, booking BBQs, processing requests to the Open Space Events inbox and Security lockouts) • Support the communication and promotion of Transport Plan by providing information, advice and guidance to the community and visitors, offering practical support and seeking to influence and motivate changes in travel behaviours. • General administrative tasks, for example updating documents, updating websites, digital and hard copy filing, placing orders for goods and services, and arranging payment of invoices using our corporate finance system. • Diary management for the Transport and Events Manager and the Head of Security. School/Division/Department: Estates Location: Norwich Hourly rate of pay: starting at £11.50 per hour dependant on experience. Start date: ASAP Weekly hours of work: Ideally 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday 9 to 5. Less hours may be considered, but a minimum of 4 hours a day, working until 5pm. Anticipated duration of assignment: Approximately 2months.
