Job summary The Head of Resilience will be responsible and accountable for ensuring that the Trust, as a Category 1 responder, is fully compliant with the Emergency Preparedness Resilience and Response (EPRR) requirements as set out in the Civil Contingencies Act (CCA) 2004, the Health and Social Care Act 2022 and the NHS Standard Contract, including the NHS England EPRR Framework and the NHS England Core Standards. The post holder will ensure the duties of the Accountable Emergency Officer (AEO) are fully met and maintained for the organisation. The post holder will develop, maintain and be responsible for testing the Trusts' generic and specific plans for emergency preparedness, ensuring there is a joint approach between SECAmb and other key agencies inside and outside of the NHS. The post holder will adopt a whole systems approach across South East Coast Ambulance Service, ensuring the organisation aligns its arrangements with the wider health community, other Emergency Services and other Agencies e.g., UKHSA etc. The post holder will put in place robust arrangements to ensure senior representation at each LRF in the in the trusts region and undertake appropriate scrutiny of each LRF's work plans, information, and intelligence in order to advise the organisation appropriately.
