Role Overview:
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant (Post-16), you'll collaborate with educators to support students across various subjects, assisting with lessons, coursework, exam preparation, and providing guidance on career pathways, further education, and apprenticeships.
Key Responsibilities:
* Academic Support: Assist students in understanding subject material, enhancing study skills, and preparing for assessments.
* One-to-One and Group Sessions: Provide tailored support to address individual learning needs and reinforce classroom learning.
* Coursework Assistance: Aid students in organizing and completing assignments to meet academic standards.
* Career Guidance: Offer insights into further education options and apprenticeship opportunities, helping students make informed decisions about their futures.
* Confidence Building: Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment to boost student self-esteem and motivation.
* Progress Monitoring: Track and report on student development, collaborating with teaching staff to implement effective learning strategies.
* ️ Safeguarding: Ensure the well-being of students by adhering to safeguarding policies and promoting a safe educational setting.
✅ Requirements:
* Educational Background: A degree in Education, Psychology, Maths, Science, Humanities, or a related field (preferred but not essential).
* Experience: Prior experience working with young adults in educational settings, mentoring, or tutoring is advantageous.
* Communication Skills: Strong ability to engage effectively with students and staff.
* Organizational Skills: Capable of managing multiple tasks and providing support across various subjects.
* Proactive Attitude: Eagerness to learn and participate in professional development opportunities.
* Documentation: An updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
