We are looking for a Team Teach qualified Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist provision for children with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs in Bradford. The ideal candidate will have experience in supporting students with SEMH, brings energy, is patient, enthusiatic, has a good sense of humor and has a strong and comprehensive understanding of behavior strategies.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with various learning needs, ensuring full participation in lessons and activities.
Assist teaching staff in planning and delivering personalised learning support tailored to each student's requirements.
Maintain a safe, nurturing environment by utilising de-escalation strategies and supporting positive behavior management techniques.
Use your Team-Teach training to support students in ways that promote their dignity and emotional well-being.
Monitor student progress and collaborate effectively with teachers and parents to ensure a consistent approach to student support.
Help students develop essential social skills, communication abilities, and independence.

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
Team Teach Level 2 qualification.
Have relevant experience working with students with social emotional and mental health needs (SEMH) or have a recognised qualification.
A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt and respond to the diverse needs of the school.
Integrate the school's ethos into daily practices.
