GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Tutor to support and inspire learners at a renowned secondary school in Southampton. This flexible role offers opportunities for both full-time and part-time work, with day-to-day and long-term options available. As a Secondary School Tutor, you will provide tailored support to help students excel in their studies. Your expertise will help bridge learning gaps and boost confidence, preparing learners for academic success. Responsibilities of a Tutor: Deliver personalised tutoring sessions in core subjects such as English, Maths, and Science, or other specialist subjects as required. Support students across Key Stages, helping them understand challenging concepts and achieve their goals. Assess students’ needs and create customised lesson plans to suit individual learning styles. Foster a positive learning environment that encourages engagement and academic progress. Collaborate with school staff and parents to ensure consistent support for students. Track student performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance their understanding. Prepare students for assessments and exams, equipping them with effective study strategies. Maintain high standards of safeguarding and child protection in all interactions. Job Experience & Requirements: A degree in education or a relevant subject is preferred. Previous experience as a tutor or teacher in a secondary school setting is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of the secondary school curriculum in your specialist subject(s). Exceptional communication skills and the ability to adapt teaching methods to individual student needs. Passion for supporting students to achieve their full potential.
