Job Description:
Field Service Engineering will create and execute resources and programs to continuously improve client installed base customer satisfaction and loyalty while providing excellent field service support for the client.
The Engineer will also have direct input to the Director of Service, Operations, and engineering teams, which is critical to further enhance product reliability, operability, and serviceability on a global basis.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide onsite and phone support to the field service organization for problems and product issues related to software, firmware, networking, and their clinical applications.
2. Take personal ownership of the customer experience, facilitating customer satisfaction through initiation of problem resolution and escalation.
3. Engage the necessary resources for problem resolution in a timely fashion.
4. Directly communicate and build rapport with customers as required, following up to ensure all issues are resolved.
5. Support new product introductions and first-of-kind installations.
6. Responsible for status reporting to internal/external customer support teams.
7. Participate as a technical resource and/or customer advocate as needed.
8. Provide technical support to sales and applications as needed.
9. Improve productivity by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in tools, training, and processes.
Reports to Director of Customer Service.
Experiences, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Experience servicing and troubleshooting electrical/electronic equipment.
2. 3 years of experience servicing/installing Medical imaging equipment (CT & Nuclear preferred).
3. Basic skills and qualifications in handling computers, software installations and upgrades, and electronic-mechanic assembly.
4. Able to work independently.
5. Typical service area: Newcastle focused.
6. Strong sense of customer service with excellent interpersonal skills.
