Fostering Social Worker (peripatetic)
Rhondda Cynon Taff
Pay rate up to £38.43 per hour Umbrella company
An exciting opportunity has become available in the fostering service in RCT. The authority has a specialised support and assessment team and they have a vacancy working across both parts of the service, due to the restructuring of the service. This may also include the kinship element. Part-time and full-time applications will be considered.
If you are looking for a new challenge in fostering, then the service is a busy, supportive, and experienced service offering a range of support and assessment services, and they are keen to develop further to ensure they provide a skilled and quality service to children looked after and foster carers.
The support team provides social work supervisory and support services to all mainstream, short break, and relative foster carers and has experienced members of staff who are developing good practice in this area of social work.
The assessment team undertakes the viability and unified assessments and is a small skilled team who have a wide knowledge base and experience in specialist Kinship Care assessments.
We are looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic social worker who has knowledge and understanding of the needs and experiences of children looked after and a working knowledge of fostering regulations and childcare legislation.
You must possess a social work qualification and be registered with Social Care Wales.
