Hourly Lecturer – Games Development
Location: Liverpool
Salary: Variable hourly rate based on experience

SAE Liverpool is seeking a Games Development lecturer to collaborate on teaching in our Games Design and Games Programming courses. This role involves preparing and delivering on-campus teaching including tutorials and workshops.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver and facilitate learning through a variety of engaging methods of pedagogy.
2. Enhance students’ learning experience and outcomes through focussed talks, and delivery of lesson plans and course material as required.
3. Providing timely and useful feedback to students to challenge their thinking and ensure understanding.
4. Effective, consistent, and timely marking of assessments.
Essential Criteria:
1. Master’s degree in a related field, or Hons degree (in progress or complete) and/or industry experience.
2. Possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, be highly organised and possess good time management skills.
3. Demonstrated student service orientation.
4. Full working rights for work in the UK. This role is fully based on campus.
Desirable Criteria:
1. Relevant industry experience in games programming/development pipeline and relevant software, specialisms including Unity or Unreal and C# or C++.
2. Teaching experience, including the creation of session plans and preparation of materials.
3. Specialisms including game engines, graphics programming, A.I., game optimisation, mobile development (Android &/or Swift), VR & AR, software development production, or other games development topics.
4. Experience in project-based learning, using flipped teaching techniques and other contemporary forms of facilitating learning.
5. Experience in using technology in learning, including virtual learning platforms.
6. Ability to teach across other disciplines, including web, games, and content creation.
7. PlayStation development experience.
