Position: Information Manager
Location: Rickmansworth
Salary Guide: £50,000 - £65,000 Plus Excellent Package
Our client is a Tier 1 Design & Build Engineering Contractor who operate predominately in the water industry. They are delivering a number of water and wastewater non-infrastructure projects for Thames Water and they have a new vacancy within their Digital Delivery team for an Information Manager, based from their offices in Rickmansworth with hybrid working available.
You will report directly to the Regional Digital Delivery Lead and your role will manage the information requirements, and support project teams' understanding, of projects in accordance with ISO 19650. Responsibilities will include:
1. Executing the responsibilities of the Information Management Function as described in ISO 19650 - primarily ensure compliance with the Client's requirements and maintenance of contracted deliverables (Project BEPs and MIDPs).
2. Management of the delivery of asset information throughout the whole project lifecycle, including ownership of the master asset data register and asset data handover process.
3. Engaging with clients and suppliers to identify, explore, and challenge their Information Management requirements.
4. Supporting the Project Manager in the development of appointed supply chain partners by assisting with assessment, selection, training and upskilling.
5. Supporting supply chain members to ensure all parties work to the Project BEP.
6. Interfacing with all project stakeholders to ensure that data is exchanged effectively and in formats that support their onward purpose.
7. Providing Information Management technical support and direction to all Project Team members.
8. Reporting on project compliance in line with Client stage gate delivery processes.
9. Establishing & maintaining a system of reports and metrics to monitor IM success at project and regional/framework level.
10. Providing support to the Quality Assurance Lead in carrying out Quality Assurance / Quality Control audits on information delivery.
11. Working with the relevant individuals to support the Common Data Environment (CDE).
12. Supporting the preparation of business case documentation and liaise with the regional SLT to ensure any required changes are implemented.
13. Contributing to the planning and co-ordination of the transition of information from existing to new information systems as necessary (e.g. data migration for historic projects where relevant).
14. Maintaining a good working relationship with the Technology and Systems team, and contributing towards lessons learned, particularly for the CDE.
15. Working to maximize the benefits of improved information management in Health and Safety, Sustainability, Operations and Maintenance etc.
16. Coordinating and facilitating information management best practice within the allocated projects and the wider business.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
1. Experience in the role of Project Information Manager for a framework or large-scale project.
2. Experience using and managing Common Data Environments such as ProjectWise, BIM360, Viewpoint (4Projects), Aconex or similar.
3. Experience with 3D review tools such as Autodesk Navisworks or Bentley iTwin (Desirable).
4. A certified postgraduate information management profession qualification (Desirable).
5. Membership of a professional institution (Desirable).
6. Individual BIM certification (ISO19650 or BS1192) with recognised body.
7. Understanding and application of BIM according to ISO 19650.
8. Knowledge and understanding of engineering design, delivery and construction within any primary infrastructure sector.
9. Ability to engage with staff at all levels, provide support with IM-related topics and drive adoption of IM process.
