As a Nursery Nurse, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality care and early years education to a group of children, with a particular focus on your key children. You will have an in-depth understanding of the EYFS framework and use this knowledge to plan and implement activities that are both educational and enjoyable, supporting the children in their development across all areas. You will also work closely with children with special needs, ensuring they receive the support they require to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Key Worker Role: Take responsibility for a group of key children, monitoring their development and wellbeing. Build positive relationships with both children and their families, ensuring open communication and regular updates on progress.
EYFS Planning and Delivery: Plan and deliver stimulating activities in line with the EYFS framework that meet the individual needs and interests of each child. Ensure that all areas of development (personal, social, emotional, physical, language, and cognitive) are considered when planning activities.
Supporting Special Needs: Provide tailored support to children with special educational needs, working alongside other staff and external professionals to implement individual learning plans (IEPs) and provide personalised care.
