Introduction
The Montcalm Collection is
seeking an accomplished and strategic Director of Finance to oversee the
financial operations across our distinguished hotel portfolio. This role
requires extensive experience in hospitality finance, a strong command of hotel
accounting principles, and a proven record of financial leadership. As Director
of Finance, you will lead the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
processes, ensuring compliance with all financial regulations while driving
profitability and cost efficiency. This is an exceptional opportunity to

JOB SPECIFIC
DUTIES
* Oversee
all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and
financial analysis, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
* Lead
the preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual
financial reports to executive leadership and stakeholders.
* Develop,
implement, and manage financial policies, procedures, and internal
controls to safeguard assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
* Analyse
financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and provide
actionable recommendations to enhance profitability.
* Collaborate
closely with the Directors, Hotels Managers and department heads to
support operational efficiency and align financial strategies with
business objectives.
* Manage
relationships with external auditors, banks, and other financial
institutions.
* Monitor
and control costs, including labour, operating expenses, and capital
expenditures, to meet or exceed financial targets.
* Ensure
compliance with local tax regulations, laws, and other statutory
requirements.
* Support
the development and execution of long-term strategic plans, including
feasibility studies for new projects and investments.
* Mentor
and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous
improvement and professional growth.

Qualifications and Skills
* Bachelor’s
degree in finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA, CFA, or equivalent
certification preferred.
* Demonstrated
extensive expertise in similar positions within the hospitality or hotel
sector.
* Comprehensive
knowledge of hospitality financial systems (e.g., Opera, Micros, or
similar) and proficiency in ERP tools.
* Strong
understanding of industry-specific challenges, including revenue
management, cost control, and capital management.
* Exceptional
analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven
decision-making.
* Proven
leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and
inspire a high-performing team.
* Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong
relationships with stakeholders.
* Knowledge
of relevant tax laws, audit practices, and regulatory requirements.
