We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in East Hertfordshire to assist with the appointment of an Organisational Development Adviser on a 9-month contract, highly likely to be extended at client's discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £20.11 - £26.00 per Hour
Summary:
This role provides professional HR advice and support to managers and employees across East Herts District Council. As Organisational Development Adviser, you will be involved in delivering operational HR services, managing casework, supporting change management initiatives, and helping shape the Council's people-related strategies and practices.
Responsibilities:
* Provide expert guidance to managers and staff on recruitment, employment law, performance, grievances, and welfare.
* Lead or contribute to organisational change initiatives, including restructures and workforce development.
* Manage HR casework including disciplinary, grievance, sickness, and parental leave cases.
* Support learning and development activities and advise on best practices.
* Review and update HR policies to ensure legal compliance and relevance.
* Analyse HR data and produce reports for senior management and committees.
* Coordinate with payroll and health & safety teams for integrated HR services.
* Experience in a generalist HR role within a public sector or similar environment.
* Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
* Proven experience managing casework and advising at all levels.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
