SUMMARY
Due to our expansion and strong client base, there is now a fantastic opportunity to expand our team. We are looking for a technical warehouse operative who will carry out both general warehouse duties and preparation, de-prepping & servicing of our more technical equipment.
THE COMPANY
We are a live event, production and equipment rental company who supply a wide range of technical services to the live events sector across the UK and overseas. The company is made up of a passionate and knowledgeable team with a proactive attitude to problem solving. We utilise cutting edge, stage, light, sound, video, power and rigging equipment to bring our clients visions to life to create memorable moments and events.
THE ROLE
You will be working closely with the warehouse manager and other Technicians to help prepare and maintain the equipment needed for a broad range of events. These often include concerts, sporting events, weddings, private parties, illuminations, corporate award ceremonies and conferences for a range of well-known clients.
1. 160 hours per month (mainly Mon - Fri, with some weekend requirements)
2. Hands on preparation of equipment - stage, light, sound, video, power and rigging
3. Checking in and testing equipment returned.
4. Ensuring all equipment is kept clean, maintained and well presented
5. Preparing and checking equipment for upcoming projects and hires.
6. Ensuring workspaces are kept in clean and orderly condition
7. General service, maintenance, and repair of equipment
8. Loading / unloading of vans and trucks
The above is not an exhaustive list and you may be required to undertake other related duties required by the businesses.
THE CANDIDATE
The successful candidate(s) must be able to work well in a team, have good attention to detail, have a basic knowledge of technical equipment and be prepared for continued development of their skills. Experience of Portable Appliance Testing is desirable. Whilst the role is predominantly within normal working hours you should have a flexible work ethic including working occasional weekends.
This position would be ideally suited to a current venue technician, production technician or freelancer who is looking for a more 9 – 5 position.
Due to our motor vehicle insurance, our ideal candidate(s) will be aged over 21 with a full UK driving licence and experience driving vans, but not essential.
