Responsibilities
1. Develop and execute sales plans for clients, regionally and nationally.
2. Generate new business from new and existing customers while ensuring the efficient follow-up of all potential customer opportunities.
3. Manage and coordinate the scheduling of projects/jobs, ensuring they are completed within deadlines and to client satisfaction. Monitor and control costs, ensuring projects/jobs are completed within budget.
4. Conduct and partake in regular performance evaluations for team members, identifying areas for improvement and providing training and development opportunities.
5. Act as a key point of contact for clients, providing expert advice and resolving any issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
6. Attend monthly & quarterly meetings as required, to discuss sales, operational and customer service plans and KPIs.
7. Review the project schedule with other management and staff that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as required.
8. Expand the customer base by upselling and cross-selling and developing new income streams in the drainage sector.
9. Support maintenance of fleet of vehicles and equipment, as directed, ensuring they are always in top condition and adhering to maintenance schedules.
10. This role is field-based and will require regional travel.
11. Support the contracts team in resolving customer complaints quickly and efficiently.
12. Keep customers updated on the latest market products.
13. To ensure maximum flexibility and to reflect the Company's evolving needs, you may be asked to perform additional tasks that may be reasonably expected within your level of capability without additional remuneration.
14. Ensure all staff are working safely and in line with the RAMS.
Qualifications and Experience
1. Working knowledge of Health and Safety.
2. Account management, operational management, and business development experience.
3. Great communication skills and a clear understanding of markets and consumer behavior.
4. Experience and knowledge of the designated region, and the key players within it.
5. Excellent leadership skills and qualities to gain the best results from others within the department.
6. A proven track record of achievement in Sales and Operations.
7. Self-motivated and confident, with experience in working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
8. Experience working within a 24/7, 365-day-a-year operation.
9. Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
10. Communications & Team spirit philosophy.
11. Flexibility of approach, modern and professional.
12. A minimum of 3 years' experience.
