Job Description:
We are delighted to share that we are recruiting for ambitious and hard-working Assistant Merchandisers to join our dynamic Home team. Tesco is a leading multinational retailer and as an Assistant Merchandiser at Tesco, you will play a huge role within the team. Working in the Merchandising department, you'll help support your Merchandising Planning Manager to ensure the best products arrive at the correct place and at the right time.

Responsibilities:
1. Build balanced ranges for our department that meet sales, stock and profit targets.
2. Contribute to strategy and trade meetings with information based on fact and intuition.
3. Ensure the MPR systems accurately reflect the range build for launch in line with critical path.
4. Support the department range launch critical path.
5. Feed into the promotion and events trade plan (incl. managing nomination process) in line with budget.
6. Update and maintain all ranging/ merchandising systems/ trackers.
7. Ensure that our pricing is administered within agreed timescales, adhering to pricing policy.
8. Conduct ad-hoc analysis, including lessons learnt, cost to serve, and pareto, giving recommendations for ways to improve category sales or margin.
9. Identify and manage exit of lines from the business including escalating impact on all KPI's.
10. Manage the departmental WSSI forecasting (at sub group level to small department level), highlighting risks and opportunities and managing KPI's Vs budget.
11. Prepare Monday Trade Analysis reports and undertake follow up actions.
12. Review performance Vs. all KPI's highlighting risks, opportunities and proposing actions.
13. Work alongside Demand Planning to help resolve any supply chain/ replenishment issues.
Requirements:
1. Skills in data analysis & numeracy.
2. MS Office – in particular Excel.
3. Great communication skills.
